Brian Zurn founded Precision Floors as a flooring installation company in 1997 after growing up and working much of his life in the flooring business. In 2011, he opened his first retail flooring showroom in Plymouth. Precision Floors continues to be very much a family business – five of Brian’s siblings and the family patriarch Bob Zurn are all part of the “Precision Floors Family,” sharing Brian’s commitment to provide residential and commercial customers with high quality flooring and home décor products, expert installation, and exceptional customer service.
The next chapter of the Precision Floors story began in Fall 2014. With business booming a desperate need for more space, Brian took a leap of faith and purchased the former Plymouth Oil property at the corner of Highland and Eastern in Plymouth. He surprised and delighted many in the community with his plans to revitalize the buildings, which had been sitting empty for more than six years. The newest of the three structures, now the Precision warehouse, was in good shape and required only a thorough cleaning. The middle structure which is now the Precision Floors showroom underwent a complete renovation inside and out, and they celebrated their grand opening in June 2015.
The final piece of the property revitalization was finished in May 2017 with the renovation of the gas station building on the north side of the property. The project was a collaboration between Precision Floors and Décor, and Susan Radke, owner of Seranya Studios Art Boutique. The beautiful space now houses Seranya Studios and The Hub Studio Café, Plymouth’s hottest new coffee house and eatery.
The first Precision Floors & Decor showroom on Factory Street in Plymouth opened in 2011.
